Lauren Lawson-Zilai, Director of Public Relations, Goodwill Industries International
Lauren Lawson-Zilai designs and directs the public relations strategy for Goodwill Industries International, a leading nonprofit provider of job training programs and career services in the United States and Canada. As spokesperson for the organization, she is a trusted communications adviser to executive leadership. One of Lauren’s proudest accomplishments includes securing a NBC Nightly News story, which resulted in a sizable donation — money that went to Goodwill’s mission to help individuals find jobs.
Earlier in the year, Lauren led the PR efforts for Goodwill’s 20-year-old partnership with The Bon-Ton Store. Each of the 273 Bon-Ton locations accepted clothing and textile donations to benefit Goodwill. By the spring of 2014 Goodwill had collected over 2.5 million pounds of clothing and textiles nationwide. The combined positive impact of these donations equals approximately 344,000 hours of job training services in the communities where they were collected.
