The Skinny On Getting Placement for Your Organization

No deals with CBNC's Power Lunch if you don't know the players. You'll need to go behind-the-scenes to pitch the business news program, "Power Lunch," covering influential deals and deal makers. Anchored by CNBC's Bill Griffeth, the show examines forces that affect U.S. and international corporate policy.

Producer Ramona Schindelheim says the feature segments are serious but interesting business stories covering the entertainment, advertising and media industries. Companies do not have to be public, but Schindelheim prefers to interview the CEO if the company is private.

The show airs from noon to 2 p.m. weekdays, so don't call during, right before or right after the show. "We hate anyone who calls after 10 a.m.," Schindelheim says. "If you want to get air time, don't call on deadline." Give her two days lead time, unless the story is breaking, in which case you can call her that morning (around 9 a.m.). The best contacts are Segment Producers Kerima Greene, 201/346-2311 or [email protected] or Chris Moon, 201/585-6408, [email protected]. (Target audience: adults, 25-54)
