As founder and CEO of the 135th Street Agency, Shante Bacon has built up an award winning communications firm from the ground up. Shante and 135th Street were given the challenge of driving tune-ins among African American viewers through promoting the second season of OWN’s first-ever scripted series, “The Haves and the Have Nots.” In order for the team to reach the lofty goal of securing two million viewers for the season two premier, they engaged press with an intimate screening with the cast accompanied by a full day of local market media interviews. Their efforts paid off with “The Haves and the Have Nots” debuting to an audience of 2.77 million viewers, while 3.35 million tuned in to watch the season finale.
