Jenn Michaels, Senior Vice President, Public Relations, MGM Resorts International
Jenn leads the extensive public relations program in support of MGM Resorts International. She reports directly to the President and has more than two decades of PR and leadership experience, including leading more than 25 PR professionals. Jenn has overseen major efforts including the opening of CityCenter in 2009, the opening of the Bellagio in 1998 and the introduction of countless other venues and programs in support of each of the company’s properties. These various campaigns have resulted in multi-million dollar media coverage for MGM Resorts International locally, nationally and internationally.
Jenn spearheaded a large-scale news announcement and the corresponding media event to mark the groundbreaking of a new 20,000 seat, $275 million arena on the LA Vegas Strip. She worked closely with the projects partner, AEG, as well as multiple international external entities to develop a creative alternative to a typical groundbreaking, while also representing the many types of events the arena will host. The event was designed around a boxing theme featuring World Champion Floyd Mayweather riding in on a massive construction vehicle to signal the groundbreaking. The end result included coverage across a wide range of critical news outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Billboard Magazine and the Las Vegas Review.
