America's Pharmacist

Robert Malone, previously director of publications for the National Community Pharmacists Association, has been named vice president of publications and editor of America's Pharmacist, NCPA's
monthly publication for independent drugstore owners. As editor of America's Pharmacist, he oversees editorial operations, reviews and accepts contributed articles, and is chief writer and
editor. Malone replaces Todd Dankmyer, who became senior vice president for strategic initiatives. Dankmyer also remains senior vice president for communications. Deleisa Johnson, associate editor, is now
also public relations manager for the NCPA. Her responsibilities as associate editor have not changed.

BioPharm

Nancy Chew, contributing editor for Biopharm since 1988, will write a new monthly opinion column for the publication beginning with the January 2001 issue. The column, Chew on the Issues, will cover
controversial issues in the product development area. Examples of topics that will be covered are gene therapies, cell therapies, and xenotransplanta tion. The column replaces Chew's Regulatory Affairs
column, which has been discontinued. Chew does not use PR input to generate content, but is looking for guest columnists. E-mail at [email protected].

The Your Vested Interests column, which covers business issues affecting the biotechnology industry and investing in biotech stock, debuted in the October 2000 issue. Your Vested Interests is written
