* Nominated as vice chairman, in line to succeed chairman Don
Bruun next year, was John Finney, director of public relations and
fund-raising, Windsor Regional Hospital, Windsor, Ontario.
* M. William Lutholtz, a communications executive with Indiana
Power & Light Co. who succumbed to leukemia last November at age 41,
received the 1996 Chairman's Award. Lutholtz founded the IABC section
on the PR & Marketing Forum of CompuServe, and also founded the
Internet list serve, PRForum.
* Attendance at the conference was about 1,300, which is slightly
ahead of last year. Individuals came from 30 countries--a record.
* Next year's conference is in Los Angeles, June 8-11.
