Delta Dental of Colorado Gives Back

Rather than hogging the limelight on their 50th anniversary in Colorado, Delta Dental used the occasion to spread the wealth to local charities. Each employee was allotted $1,000 to give to a 501(c)(3) charity of their choice. In total, more than $130,000 has been designated to aid Colorado charities.

It's Official: Weber Shandwick is "Green"

Eager to follow the example set by its London counterpart, Weber Shandwick North America launched an internal campaign to promote environmentally-friendly practice in the workplace. The company outlined a green policy framework by mandating changes in purchasing and travel practices but also gave their individual offices the opportunity to customize operations.

Stantec for Bike to Work Challenge

After the huge success of its 2007 event, Stantec has turned its Bike to Work Challenge into a corporate-wide annual event. The 2008 challenge ran from mid-May to mid-June and during that period Stantec employees clocked more than 55,000 cycling miles, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 30 tons.

Sanofi-Aventis "What You Do Matters"

One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and yet scores of women are unaware of the risk factors or where to find reliable information. Sanofi-Aventis set out to amend this oversight by sponsoring a media blitz to raise awareness. The goal was 50 million media impressions but the results far exceeded that number with a whopping 93 million impressions, achieving 100% message penetration of at least one key message for every story.
