Top Women in PR: Eileen Gannon

Eileen Gannon, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, Workiva Inc.

Eileen was the driving force behind the charge to raise $100 million in the initial public offering of Workiva's stock. Over a 12-month period, Eileen tested various messages all over the country. She and her team created over 1,000 slides with constant iteration of messages. This proved crucial to the initial public offering presentation, SEC filing and investor videos that were created for the announcement. As a result, the demand for the company's stock offerings was five times higher than shares available. A Twitter campaign surrounding the New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell Ceremony earned the company more than 2,000 new followers.

Eileen and her team executed all corporate communications and public relations efforts in support of the company's recent name change. This included internal video for employees, an internal company-wide roll-out campaign, an external video for customers and stakeholders, and press release and relations. The name change was executed perfectly and was immediately accepted with great success.
