Apparently there's a thin line between church and the state of PR for Joe Epley, chairman of Charlotte, N.C.-based Epley Associates. Speaking recently before the Cleveland chapter of PRSA on PR trends of the future, Epley concluded, "To meet the challenges of the next millennium, the ideal PR executive should have the persistence of Moses, courage of David, wisdom of Solomon...faith of Daniel, tolerance of Abraham, devotion of the apostle Paul. Yet having all those traits is not enough. You must still satisfy that chief executive who expects you to walk on water." Mohammed, Buddha and Vishnu declined to comment. But according to Cleveland's Travel & Tourism bureau, the city is home to more than 80 ethnic groups, and surely some of them were represented in the audience.
