Winner: CompTIA - #CompTIAPerks
CompTIA is the global trade industry association that supports IT businesses and IT professionals in their careers. Located in the Chicago suburbs, this global organization of approximately 200 employees serves North and Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East/Africa and Australia/New Zealand.
The CompTIA workplace offers generous benefits: 22 days of paid time off per year, 14 holidays, a 6% vested matching 401K and two days of work from home a week (for starters). However, the impact of such a corporate culture extends beyond benefit offerings.
With the #CompTIAPerks campaign, CompTIA sought to reinforce to existing employees the positive benefits they and their peers receive, and highlight to potential new employees and the industry at large that CompTIA was a positive place to work.
CompTIA promoted and incentivized employees to use the social hashtag #CompTIAPerks for any comments that highlighted CompTIA’s uniqueness or positive benefits that employees felt. CompTIA asked its employees to show them how they used their summer hours, capturing the essence of what makes working at CompTIA different and special, using the hashtag.
In just one month, the hashtag appeared in 116 total tweets and 82 instagram photos. It had a total reach of nearly 43,000 accounts. The campaign was also featured in the media, reaching additional online impressions. The media coverage received from the campaign also helped to increase engagement on CompTIA’s LinkedIn company page by 363%, and increased followers on LinkedIn by 263% in 2015.
