The last few weeks of news might have you believing that
everyone with a computer is dosing on blogs (the shortened form of
the original "Web logs"). But it's just more "inside baseball"
within media circles. A new CNN/USA
Today/Gallup poll says relatively few Americans are
familiar with blogging; only one in four either are "very familiar"
or "somewhat familiar" with blogs.

Still, it's important to remember that younger people are
getting hip to the blogosphere (see chart), which is
noteworthy when you consider the high percentage of American youth
who, in the last several years, have tuned out traditional news
altogether.
