Cable Positive for We Have Work to Do

Favoring reality over celebrity, Cable Positive selected an HIV-positive individual as the star of its PSA spots designed to prevent the further spreading of HIV/AIDS through education awareness. The thrust of the campaign was to remind the public that the epidemic can be lurking where we least expect it and that no one is immune.

National Restaurant Association for Faces of Diversity Award

The restaurant industry boasts more minority managers than any other and to continue fostering its equal opportunity reputation, the National Restaurant Association launched the Faces of Diversity Award. The award is designed to highlight individuals within the industry whose success is representative of the "American Dream" and to commend the companies that have made possible that achievement.

Cox Enterprises Embraces UNITY 2008

Minority journalists received much needed support from Cox Enterprises who augmented their participation at the 2008 UNITY convention to include more than just sponsorship funding. Cox Enterprises also developed career advancement conduits including a resource center, discussion panel and employee breakfast.
