Media directory and monitoring firm Burrelle's Information
Services, Livingston, N.J., last month combined with PR software
company SpinWare Software Publishing to form a new software company,
Public Affairs Technologies LLC, (PAT) Lanham, Md. PAT promptly
announced its acquisition of Capitol Hill Software, a publisher of
lobbying and political action committee software. The new company,
which will include all of the operations of the former SpinWare
Software company, will offer Capitol Hill's LOBBYIST and PACtrack
software along with SpinWare's press release distribution package,
SpinControl, and ClipSCAN, a press clipping reporting package.
Robert Waggoner, Burrelle's president and CEO, becomes chairman
of the board of PAT. SpinWare's founder and president, Matthew
Siegal, is president of the new company. (Public Affairs
