Christian Garland shows poise well beyond her title or years, serving as the client-facing day-to-day lead on all of her accounts.
She’s been an all-star media relations practitioner, securing high-level placements in more than a dozen target publications and several live broadcast segments over the past year alone, developing strong relationships with The Washington Post and The Associated Press. Garland strategically approaches assignments, taking the time to research and understand the clients’ objectives and ensure quality work.
In July 2015, the Hill+Knowlton (H+K) D.C. office began work for the Invictus Games 2016, Prince Harry’s international wounded warrior competition. Tapped to lead the media effort, Garland dived into work immediately, starting with an announcement of the games' launch in the United States. Her efforts drove local and national media placements throughout the following year; she played a pivotal role in the campaign that went well beyond her title and even her career as a public relations professional.
The H+K Invictus teams’ efforts ultimately resulted in over 400 pieces of broadcast and print coverage nationally, with over 2 billion impressions—all with Garland at the lead.
