In a sign of the increasing appetite for tech-related publications - despite the still-slackening economy -- IDG rival Ziff Davis Media (New York) last week announced plans to
launch Extreme Tech in October. The magazine, a print extension of http://www.extremetech.com, will debut with a print run of 150,000 copies, which will be offered solely on newsstands. It will provide
readers with how-to advice on designing and upgrading PCs and related tech systems, networking, security and videogames.
