TIPS ON PURCHASING THE RIGHT LETTERHEAD

"Sometimes your letterhead is the first thing people see so it needs to be great," said John Sneider, production-creative manager at Dorland, Sweeney & Jones, a Philadelphia-based healthcare advertising agency. "It is definately part of the image building process."

  • Use an "expensive look" heavy weight paper in a light color such as beige or taupe.
  • Have red or blue as a main colors for logos
or to be "different" gold or silver foil.
  • Use recycled paper, but do not advertise that
you use it. "It is PC to use recycled paper
and now we have such high quality --you
really can't tell the difference," he said.
  • Use the left side of the page as an advertisement for your accomplishments or board of directors.
