'Net-based IPO Service Launched
Michael Terpin, president and CEO of Southern California PR firm
The Terpin Group, has teamed San Francisco securities broker Mark
Perlmutter and other investors to launch Direct IPO, a new corporation
that will support direct public offerings of "early stage" Internet-
related stocks via the World Wide Web.
Online initial public offerings (IPOs) were made possible by a
recent Securities and Exchange Commission ruling, according to Terpin.
"We see an incredible opportunity to satisfy the unfulfilled
investment desires of the technology-savvy public to create a
