The American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As) and the
American Advertising Federation announced an effort to focus public
attention on negative political advertising. As part of a "Political
Advertising Repair" initiative, the groups have asked their members to
monitor advertising and encourage local media to report on false
claims or unsubstantiated accusations by political candidates. 4As

the potential to lower the credibility of all advertising among
