If you're trying to reach fitness-minded folks, E-zone Networks delivers a captive and sweaty audience of health club members. This new network, launched last month, provides educational and entertaining programs to more than 8,000 members of 46 health clubs via an E-zone consoles mounted on cardio machines and special headphones.

Efforts are underway to boost E-zone's original educational programming. Next month, E-zone is launching programs that focus on weight loss and elite fitness routines. Producers are looking for nutrition and other health experts who can provide tips on healthy, diet-conscious fitness approaches. Over the next year, E-zone will be expanding its original programming to include fitness-focused disease management, diet tips and pragmatic information high performance training.

Recently, E-zone decided to increase access to members by removing the headphone fee in three health clubs. Depending on how successul these pilots are, E-zone will do away with headphone fees altogether, which should significantly increase its viewership, says Richard Turski, E-zone's VP of marketing. Paricipating fitness clubs include Tennis Corp. of America, Houstonian, Sport & Health and Gold's Gym.
