It probably was not a matter of when but who would be the first
PR-related group to recognize blogs (online Web logs), which are
all the rage right now (at least among the media cognoscenti,
according to PR News, March 30). The New York chapter of the
International Association of Business Communicators
last week announced a new blog category for its upcoming "Awards
for Communicators Excellence" (ACE) competition. ACE entries
showing blogs as a way to improve inter-office dialogue will be
honored as well as business-to-consumer blogs. Applications are
available at http://www.nyiabc.com, and entries
