Get a Life

We mean that in the nicest way possible ... but we're not exactly kidding. A new study from PRSA shows 60 percent of PR practitioners are working more than 40 hours a week.
Corporate PR pros more than any other group of PR professionals surveyed report they work in excess of 50 hours per week. And 89 percent of all respondents say they work even
during vacations. One of the toughest issues to tackle: making time for senior management and key media contacts around the clock.

The study was prompted by the resignation of presidential counselor Karen Hughes, but showed that most PR pros won't be following in her footsteps: Almost 70 percent of
respondents said her decision will have no impact on PR pros' balance of work and personal life. (Libby Roberge, PRSA, 212/460-1495, [email protected])
