Dow Jones plans ‘Wall Street Journal’ edition for India

The new edition, a joint venture with Bennett, Coleman & Co.
Ltd., publisher of The Times of India and The Economic Times, joins
a growing club of overseas versions of the Journal, including The
Asian Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal Europe and The
Wall Street Journal Americas in Latin America. The newspaper will
target Indian business readers and international business travelers
in what is an explosive market... Meanwhile, Dow Jones is joining
the fray of media companies targeting the rapidly expanding Latino
market. Dow Jones recently announced that the Journal will provide
news and features on finance, technology, careers and small
business to Spanish-language daily Hoy. The section, which will be
published every Thursday starting in March, will consist of eight
pages of Spanish-language content.
