CRISIS NEWS REPORTS UP

Media reports of business crises increased by 13 percent during the first half of 1996, according to the latest data released by the Institute for Crisis Management (ICM), Louisville, Ky. The fastest growing category of negative news tracked by ICM was sexual harassment, which showed a 192 percent jump compared to the first half of 1995. Coverage of class action lawsuits also showed a steep increase in media coverage during the past year, rising by 83 percent.
