Kronos is a special place to work and has been rated as an employer of choice by The Boston Globe (#1), the Boston Business Journal, and The Globe and Mail, among other regions around the world. Its inspiring corporate culture is overflowing with perks that span far beyond health insurance and 401K contributions.
Kronos, in particular, has been recognized for its wellness programs. It offers a global wellness program known as LiveInspired. Various employee health and wellness initiatives are organized under this banner. Kronos offers comprehensive and competitive health and dental benefits. At its corporate headquarters, Kronos offers an onsite fitness center and specialized fitness classes – from yoga to Zumba and everything in between, as well as access to a personal trainer and nutritionist.
Kronos also has an on-staff, full-time wellness specialist and coach who is available to help employees reach their fitness goals. For remote employees interested in getting healthy, Kronos sends an all-in-one fitness kit with equipment needed to do a full-body workout. Kronos also holds wellness fairs to get employees excited about getting active and offers a specialized “Quit for Life” tobacco cessation program.
Kronos also sponsors flu vaccine clinics. A nurse is brought on site to administer the vaccine at no cost to employees. It also offers this benefit at employee events such as fiscal year kickoffs. Kronos also enables all active employees to earn “wellness dollars” by logging their wellness activities on the LiveInspired Wellness Portal. At the end of the year, points earned are converted into a premium reduction. Spouses may also participate in this program.
Kronos also holds a “Biggest Winner” competition. This is an eight-week wellness program aimed at helping employees reach their weight-loss goals. Employees compete in teams and receive ongoing physical and nutritional support to achieve their goals. At the end of eight weeks of weigh-ins, the team with the highest total percentage of body weight lost is crowned “The Biggest Winner.”
