Top Places to Work in PR 2014: Linhart Public Relations

Linhart Public Relations

The Linhart Public Relations office is a reflection of its culture.  The company is based in Denver’s theater district, working from a restored 19th century candy factory that’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Look around the office, and you’ll find an open work environment filled with the vibrant original artwork of the late Colorado artist Bob Gamage. You’ll also see hundreds of magnets lining the walls in and around the second floor Linhart PR café. When employees travel the world for business or pleasure, they bring back souvenir magnets to add to the colorful, growing collection.

The company allows employees an opportunity to recognize the hard work of other staffers by giving out “Mile High Fives.” Each Linhart PR employee receives 20 recognition tokens (in the shape of a hand) for the year. Employees give their co‐workers tokens, as they deem appropriate, as recognition for living the firm’s values. Tokens can then be “cashed in” for a special reward at the end of November.

In Linhart’s 2014 employee satisfaction survey, team members said the top-ranked benefit was the cash bonus program, which recognizes their work and results. The firm pays a quarterly cash bonus to all permanent non-partner employees, based on 20 percent of net income. In 2013, Linhart paid $103,000 in bonuses.
