There may be shouts and an occasional murmur that the economy is starting to turn around, albeit slightly. Not so for Americans' attitudes about Corporate America, apparently.
They still view U.S. companies - across the board - as arrogant and out of touch, according to a recent survey on corporate reputation conducted by marketing consultancy RoperASW.
In a survey of more than 6,600 American adults online, two-thirds think most large corporations are "greedy" while fewer than 27% agree that they're "trustworthy". Other findings:

  • Asked whether eight personality traits -- four positive and four negative - describe most large U.S. corporations, a majority associated only one positive trait with big
    business: "strong."
  • More than half surveyed see big business as "greedy" (63%) and arrogant (52%) and about half say most large companies are "deceitful."
