Kelsey Flora

Kelsey Flora is director of strategic communications at the National Geographic Society, where she drives communications and outreach strategy for many of the Society’s marquee programs and raises the profile of National Geographic Explorers around the world. Prior to joining National Geographic in 2011, Kelsey spent more than six years at top-tier public relations and marketing agencies in the D.C. area, providing counsel to a diverse array of clients, including businesses in the health science, high tech and educational arenas, as well as nonprofits, associations and local and international governments. Kelsey earned a B.A. in English and journalism from Indiana University.She lives in Washington, D.C.
