Carreen brings more than two decades of broad corporate communications expertise, including deep crisis communications and issues management, with an emphasis in corporate and executive positioning, reputation management, restructuring and financial transactions, employee communications and labor relations. She has also counseled clients in matters such as issues management, litigation and AG/regulatory investigations, settlements and events, incidents and mishaps, employment issues, manufacturing, NGO and activism, investigative reporting, mergers, and acquisitions.

During her tenure with the firm, Carreen has worked in every major practice area, including, aviation and transportation, manufacturing, retail, mining, government, financial and professional services.  Additionally, she is well-versed in message and response architecture, design and implementation, and reputation and brand recovery. This diverse experience helped formulate the agency’s total stakeholder approach to communications and has enabled Carreen to lead integrated programs for clients in the corporate space.

Carreen, along with CEO Michael Kempner, developed the agency’s proprietary approach to Reputation Management, including CEO Equity Builder Methodology and Crisis Action Protocol (C.A.P.) for vulnerability assessment and crisis management. She provides strategic counsel and has led award winning programs for clients such as Deloitte LLP, Adecco North America and Harrah’s Entertainment on a wide variety of corporate reputation issues. Carreen is also a member of the Crisis Response Team for JetBlue Airways and has led the agency’s crisis counsel for clients such as Alpha Natural Resources, Bethlehem steel, Reckitt Benckiser, Sara Lee and others.

Carreen holds a B.A. from Villanova University, and was named to NJBiz’s 40 under 40 for her crisis management and corporate restructuring expertise. She was also named to PR News 2014 Top Women in PR, the 2014 and 2013 Bulldog Reporter Crisis Communicator of the Year, and the 2014 and 2012 PR News Blogger of the Year. She has won every major industry award for her client work, is a featured commentator in The Wall Street Journal’s “Crisis of the Week” feature and is a noted author, blogger and speaker on reputation management.
