As JEDCO's marketing and PR manager, Kelsey Scram has been integral in expanding JEDCO’s visibility in the Greater New Orleans region. She singlehandedly oversees all aspects of JEDCO’s PR and marketing initiatives and has exceeded expectations for her position, serving as a tireless one-person department with enthusiasm, integrity and focus.
Scram has a knack for seeing her vision come to life. This year, she spearheaded a complete rebranding of JEDCO’s collateral material and brand identity, working closely with a team of designers to create a streamlined brand image that inspired response and catapulted the organization forward.
A former video journalist for NBC33 in Baton Rouge, Scram thinks like a reporter. She knows what stories to pitch and writes clear, compelling press releases. Many journalists claim she “does the work for them.”
One of the most impressive initiatives Scram has undertaken is the JEDCO Challenge, Jefferson Parish’s first entrepreneurial pitch competition. In her first year at JEDCO, she developed the competition under her own volition, which is now attended by over 150 people annually. Now in its fifth year, the JEDCO Challenge not only brings positive awareness to JEDCO's work, but to Jefferson Parish and the Greater New Orleans area as well.
