for the largest number of new title launches between 1985 and 1999, but in many
cases the passion was short-lived. Only half of the books launched last year
are still kicking today...and only 20 percent of the new titles launched in

Association reports that the majority of its member pubs' readers fall in the 40-55 range. "They buy more personal care and beauty products than any other age group and they have
a huge appetite for fine dining, fashion, home furnishings, electronics, entertainment and travel," according to the CRMA. Regional magazines now rank fourth among top magazine
categories (in terms of ad revenues) and boast an aggregate total of more than 2 million readers.
