More snow advisories. More snow. More emails from HR saying "the office is closed today"—and more so-called troupers who defy logic and straggle into their "closed" offices anyway. It seems as if for much of the country it will be this way until opening day of the baseball season.

Our workdays are laden with meetings, and professional communicators in particular have a breathless pace of back to back to back meetings. And phone meetings at home, with perhaps a toddler in the background setting fire to the family pet, are often not workable. And so office workers trudge through the snow, slush and ice to headquarters.

With the awful winter weather in mind, we asked our Twitter followers what they hate most about commuting to work. It's mid-February, and we found that people are in full complaint mode.

1. Traffic.

2. The fact that I can never get a constant signal on any radio channel in two hours of driving each day.

3. Crazy drivers who, because they are late or maybe hate driving, risk everyone's life on the road.

4. Walking a mile to & from my office to the train station in balmy #ChiBeria (Hey 4 degrees, how you doin' at 8 am...).

5. Delays! Snow, ice, accidents. Nothing saps my energy like them.

6. Too many things going through my brain and no way to write them down.

7. Dark areas at city corners that look like solid ice but are in fact deep, dirty, cold pools of water.
