The State of Data-Driven Communications in 2020

To better understand the role of measurement and media analysis in Communications, PRNEWS and PublicRelay surveyed some 350 corporate and agency communicators.

Key findings included:

  • More Data Means More Effort — Almost half of communicators are spending more time on media measurement this year than last.
  • C-Suite Demands Are Increasing — More than 8 in 10 communicators report having to defend PR decisions with data to their CEO or senior executives.
  • Reliability Remains An Issue — Barely 1 in 5 of those surveyed feel they "always have accurate data they can trust".
