Amanda Atkins is Senior Director, Head of Internal Communications & Culture at Slack, where she’s led efforts around employee and executive communications, change management, engagement and culture for the company’s global workforce since 2016. Her experience spans a variety of communications and organizational development roles across multiple industries.

During her tenure at Slack, Amanda established and scaled the internal communications function to support hypergrowth; successfully took Slack public with its direct listing in June 2019; co-led the company’s global Covid-19 response team and the shift to remote work; and has advised more than 200 Slack customers in transforming their communications and engagement strategies. She recently managed the announcement of Slack’s acquisition by Salesforce and is currently leading all communications, change management and employee engagement efforts in support of the transition.

Prior to joining Slack, Amanda led global technology communications at Gap Inc., after establishing the internal communications function for Liberty Mutual’s Personal Insurance business unit. She’s also worked at JPMorgan Chase, LBrands and Owens Corning.
