Executive Director, Issues and Reputation Management
National Cattlemen's Beef Association

Season Solorio is the executive director, issues and reputation management team for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, a Contractor to the Beef Checkoff. Based in the Washington, D.C. office, Season develops strategic responses and educational programs focused on how beef is raised today, touching on a variety of issues ranging from animal care to food safety to sustainability and more. Her team, which is based in both the NCBA Denver and NCBA D.C. offices, has two primary goals: to lead the beef industry in unified and effective responses to national issues that threaten consumer confidence or consumer demand in beef (the reactive side) and to help strengthen the reputation of farmers and ranchers and the way beef is raised today through high tech and high touch experiences (the proactive side).

Through her work at NCBA, Season currently serves on the Communications Committee for the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance, a farmer and rancher led organization representing all aspects of agriculture that is working to engage consumers in a dialogue about how today's food is grown and raised. She works frequently with other communications professionals within the agriculture industry to provide crisis and issues management counsel, communications training, crisis planning, media relations guidance and social media strategy, all with the goal of managing the reputation of beef and the people who raise beef.

Prior to joining NCBA, Season worked for the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association representing the vitamin and dietary supplement industry, where she developed and carried out rapid response and issues management programs on behalf of the dietary supplement industry. Prior to CRN, Season worked at Porter Novelli Public Relations.
