At the Platinum & Agency Elite Awards Luncheon, PR News inducted the ALS Association, American Greetings and MullenLowe, Bayer Corp., Home Depot Foundation, The Lustgarden Foundation and Taco Bell into the Platinum Hall of Fame for their most iconic campaigns. The crowd was moved to tears when Pat Quinn, co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge came to the stage to share his story. "ALS has taken my ability to speak to you today," wrote Quinn. "This campaign changed the world forever and changed the trajectory of this disease. ALS' Ice Bucket Challenge showed the power of social media and the power of good people. And when your campaign is driven by passion and the hard work of people who refuse to be average, [your] power has no limits."

Other event highlights included "Platinum Dollar Listing" a game hosted by Bravo's Million Dollar Listing star, Ryan Serhant, where luncheon guests guessed the prices of New York properties for the chance to win tickets to Watch What Happens Live. A big highlight was also hearing who the 2017 winners were, of course! “The Platinum and Agency Elite Awards are more than just our way of honoring the year’s top teams and individual campaigns—taken together, they also celebrate the vision, ingenuity and passion of a rapidly evolving profession,” says Jerry Ascierto, Executive Editor of PR News. “Given the overwhelming quality and quantity of submissions, our judges had an extremely difficult task this year.”
