Mitzi Emrich serves as social practice lead for one of the nation’s top mid-sized public relations firms and one of the five largest independent global agencies.
At MWW, she manages an integrated team of analysts, community managers, converged media experts, web and mobile developers, social strategists and marketers. As part of her role, Mitzi drives agency growth and adoption of best-in-class execution for brand storytelling, consumer activation, content distribution, paid social and search optimization programming. In addition, she oversees MWW’s social engagement on behalf of clients including Hillshire Brands, Waste Management, Nikon and OfficeMax.
With more than 15 years of public relations experience, Mitzi has led social media and digital practices for agencies including Edelman Digital and FTI Consulting. Mitzi helps shape the way that agencies build and scale their social offerings, while also working with brands and corporations to leverage social and digital engagement to solve complex business challenges.
During her career she has guided social media strategy for Walmart’s U.S.-based marketing and corporate reputation efforts, including the launch of the company’s award winning Community Action Network. In addition, Mitzi also built global social strategies for Royal Dutch Shell, directed PepsiCo's redevelopment of its corporate website to better integrate the presence of its brand portfolio, and worked with Microsoft to establish digital thought leadership strategies.
