The Monitor, a national newspaper with an international circulation, has added five new weekly feature sections in the past year on topics from finance to the theater. The "Here The Work" and "Money" section runs Mondays, covering finance and the stock market. Editor Lynde McCormick wants only e-mail pitches at [email protected].

The Tuesday Learning section covers every facet of education: K-12, universities and adult learning, focusing on one major news angle each week, says Editor Amelia Newcomb. Newcomb wants timely, but not newsy, pitches by e-mail at [email protected].. The Wednesday Home Front section covers family, home, community, food and gardening. The most popular stories are on parenting, says Editor David Scott, who prefers e-mail at [email protected]. The Ideas section on science, technology, computers, ethics and religion runs on Thursdays. Bencivenga's e-mail is [email protected]. Mondays are the best time to reach Greg Lamb, editor of the Friday Arts and Leisure section, which covers news on music, museums, theater, sports, pop culture and other entertainment events throughout the U.S. Reach him at lambg@ csts.com.
