Megan worked with Huffington Post to launch a newly created section called “What’s Working: Purpose + Profit”. It aims to highlight cutting edge organizations and inspiring leaders who are finding innovative solutions to many of the world’s toughest issues. The site leverages Huffington Post's vast digital reach to generate engagement and position PwC in a new way with millennials—a key target population for PwC.
The site launched with a blog from Arianna Huffington and the firm's Chief Purpose Officer. It then followed with a cross-country roadshow to drive visibility among key stakeholders. The site has been tremendously received. Case and point: One employee commented "PwC is shaping our culture with the right message". Since launch, it has received more than 2 million page views. It has a 62% social interaction rate, which is nine times that of other Huffington Post verticals. Huffington Post cited it as one of the “most successful launches ever” and a great collaboration among “strange bedfellows” working towards the same goal: to change the dialogue of news.
