Allison Steinberg is a communications strategist at National ACLU with more than a dozen years’ experience as a writer and public relations professional. Prior to the ACLU, she worked at organizations large and small, including being a spokesperson at JetBlue Airways; running the publishing department at Go Magazine, a women's lifestyle magazine and at Tricycle, a Buddhist quarterly magazine;  and as the communications director at the Empire State Pride Agenda, New York’s LGBT advocacy organization.

As a writer, her byline has graced the pages of The New Yorker, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Slate, The Village Voice, Time Out New York, Huffington Post, Bitch Magazine, XO Jane, PR Daily, and as the creator and voice of JetBlue Airways’ blog, BlueTales, which she built from the ground up to reach tens of thousands of weekly readers. As a communications professional, her op-eds and quotes have been published in nearly every top-tier and niche outlet, and she has presented at conferences for PR News, the Public Relations Society of America and Ragan Communications. Allison has a Master of Fine Arts in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College, where she presently teaches communications strategy.
