General Electric's board is tops with investors and leading business people alike. Fortune magazine found people admired the company because of its Internet
initiatives. Within a year GE, a non-info-technical firm, grew from Web infant to ecommerce adult. Although the company introduced nothing new to the Internet game, its positive
reaction to a changing market, and in a short period of time, makes it worthy of praise, states the Fortune survey.
