BodenPR’s Hispanic roots unsurprisingly influence BodenPR’s office culture—referred to as the company’s “cooltura.” The team’s shared passion, motivation, sense of family and drive to be successful embody customary Hispanic values.
BodenPR isn't afraid to let loose and have a little fun. Employees have been known to show their dance moves on Halloween with an Instagrammed version of the “Thriller” dance, give into cravings on National Donut Day, and break out the micheladas and margaritas on Friday afternoons.
The agency works diligently to refine its hiring process in order to keep the turnover percentage low and its promotion percentage high. Boden’s first employee, an intern, is now an Account Supervisor. Its second employee, who also started as an intern, is a Senior Associate. 90 percent of the company’s initial first hires are still with the firm and 95 percent have been promoted.
BodenU, the agency's continuing education supplement, allows employees to pursue different programs to enhance their job skills and career advancement. Depending on the program specifics —whether the offering is online, a weekend seminar, or a chance to bring a presenter in house—the agency determines if it can offer the opportunity to more employees so they too may benefit from the learning experience.
Volunteering is also an essential part of the company culture—it’s a thread that holds together the agency’s core values. The agency engages in a day of service on a quarterly basis, and, during the holidays, goes on a shopping spree for Las Pequeñas Rosa (Our Little Rosas), an orphanage in Honduras. Service brings the office together in a fun, giving spirit.
