Grace Jones is a true shining star among her peers and within the nonprofit communications community. As a brand consumer manager at Dayton Children’s, she has worked to innovate and improve the hospital’s online, customer-focused communication strategies.
Jones manages the hospital’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram accounts and its Every Kid Counts blog to increase the organization's following and communicate relevant information. Since taking over social media channels, she has nearly increased Facebook followers by 400 percent and quadrupled monthly visits to the blog since May 2011.
Jones also launched the hospital’s Pinterest and Instagram accounts, which continue to engage the hospital’s key market: mothers. Due to Jones’ strategic thinking, the hospital’s social media strategy has been featured nationally, including multiple mentions in Ragan’s Health Care Communication News.
Jones identifies and develops image-building stories for the hospital's social media channels as well as on the internal website. She handles direct mail campaigns to new and expectant moms, as well as advertising and a monthly e-newsletter. Jones also oversees the hospital’s website, which is viewed more than 40,000 times each month.
