2016 Rising PR Stars: LaToya Evans, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Bank of America

LaToya Evans is a strategic communications professional with experience at multiple Fortune 50 companies and a strong background in all facets of communication including external, crisis, executive and internal communications,  serving as print and on-camera spokesperson for some of the world's largest brands.

Three years ago, Evans became vice president, corporate communications at Bank of America. Currently, she manages proactive and reactive media relations for the northeast region as part of the corporate reputation team.

Evans has worked hard to position Bank of America as a great place to work and bank. In 2016, she garnered a significant amount of coverage highlighting the company’s extended parental leave policies while also pushing product, community and corporate social responsibility news. Evans also won coverage around cardless ATMs and other cutting-edge technologies that the company has rolled out, while shifting the narrative on various crisis topics ranging from fraud to financial center closures. Previously, LaToya has been a part of the corporate communications teams at Walmart, Philips and IBM, serving in various media relations, strategic and crisis communications capacities over the last several years.
