Winner: Bell Helicopter - Digital Toolkit
Bell Helicopter’s communications department recently launched four new tools as a part of its Communications Digital Toolkit. The Communications Digital Toolkit is comprised of the One Voice Mobile App, Mission: Connect, the Bell Helicopter Digital Library and the Literature Management System.
Each of these tools were designed and developed by the Bell Helicopter communications team to streamline processes and provide self-service digital tools that would increase global business education, improve employee engagement and strengthen brand awareness.
The One Voice Mobile app was developed over the course of three months. Content was reviewed across a list of cross-functional stakeholders and covered areas like Military Business, Commercial Business, Customer Service and Hot Topics.
The tool allows the Bell Helicopter external communications team to input changes in real time, send alerts about recent company news and provide analytics for the team to use in tailoring the message based on user interaction, as well as add new users and remove users from the tool.
Additionally, users are able to customize their view and create clipboards for their most-used content. Once content is entered into the tool it becomes searchable. The One Voice app was launched at the largest helicopter trade show, Heli-Expo, to roughly 125 known spokespeople.
To date, more than 200 employees who have been designated as employee spokespeople have downloaded the Once Voice Mobile app. The average user accesses the tool for up-to-date statistics, facts and messages around the hottest topics across the business. Future development plans include creating a light version for independent representatives who serve as company ambassadors around the world.
