Kaiser Permanente
Every morning at 10 a.m. in the Kaiser Permanente office the entire PR team gets together for a daily editorial huddle. Every meeting is an opportunity to discover ideas for collaboration and cross-promotion, to identify areas of overlap or for a colleague to simply bounce ideas off the rest of the team. Throughout the day you might see a few team members huddled together for an impromptu brainstorming session to come up with a clever title for a podcast, or a creative way to promote a new research study that just came out.
Kaiser Permanente has been recognized by DiversityInc as the No. 4 best company for diversity, and LatinaStyle Magazine ranked us No. 6 on their list of best companies for Latinas to work. It has also been named a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality several years in a row by the Human Rights Campaign.
The company places a high value on continuous learning. There is a strong commitment to professional development—encouraging attendance at industry (both communications and health) conferences and an extensive in-house professional development program. Kaiser Permanente also provides tuition reimbursement to support employees with degree advancement, certificate programs, and skill enhancement courses in marketing, communication, business and other related fields.
