Top Places to Work in PR 2014: Allison + Partners

Allison + Partners

In an effort to not only expand employees’ professional growth, but also to give them the tools they need, Allison + Partners hosts the annual Allison University in San Francisco. The event gives employees a unique opportunity to take advantage of workshops hosted by in-house and outside experts that are tailored to specific professional levels.

Allison + Partners is also involved with many professional organizations. Members of the senior team are adjunct professors at UCLA, Roosevelt University and University of San Francisco, and offer workshops like PRSA’s Quality Time with PR Minds, which provides free advice to nonprofits.

To make sure employees at all levels have access to senior staff, the Founding Partner Open Door Program allows any employee to take advantage of a lunch meeting with one of the founding partners over the course of the year.

Every employee that has been with the company at least five years can take a month paid sabbatical to refresh and recharge. Employees on sabbatical set both personal and professional growth outcomes for their time away. Although given the ping-pong tables, yoga classes, spot benefits and beer cart Fridays, it’s hard to imagine a whole month away from Allison + Partners.
