Amanda Atkins joined Slack in May 2016 as global head of internal communications. She has led internal communications, change management, organizational development and other culture-driving efforts across multiple industries, including retail, manufacturing, financial services, and technology.

Prior to joining Slack, Amanda led global technology communications at Gap Inc., after establishing the internal communications function for Liberty Mutual’s personal insurance business unit. She previously held communication roles with JPMorgan Chase, LBrands, and Owens Corning, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University.  Amanda is originally from Ohio and has lived all over the U.S., but California is home. She’s a writer at heart, loves Beyoncé, bulldogs, musical theatre and fast cars, and is happiest when she gets a new stamp on her passport.
