Rita Gorenberg oversees campaign development for the Clorox branded cleaning and laundry products including the company’s namesake bleach.

She has paved the way for real-time marketing at Clorox by successfully executing the brand’s first real-time content creation program, “The Clorox Ick Awards.” With programs like “Bleach It Away,” “The Clorox Ick-tionary” and the always-on social media approach to pop-culture conversations, Rita is modernizing Clorox’s brand identity to better relate to today’s modern moms and dads and create brand relevancy for Millennials.

She also manages the in-house social media practice, which focuses on channel and brand-specific strategies, creates engaging and action-oriented content, provides consistent customer support and tests nimble posting tactics. With a talented young group of community managers, she is developing lasting relationships with consumers by bringing their brands to life in the social space.

Before joining Clorox, Rita was a senior account executive at Ketchum, San Francisco, where she worked on iconic food brands such as Häagen-Dazs ice cream, The Skinny Cow and Frito-Lay. She graduated in 2007 from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in advertising, marketing and humanology; the study of the development of humans combining various psychological, sociological, anthropological and neurological theories. Her graduation thesis involved extensive research on consumerism and the aspirational identity. Through the years, her work has won numerous honors including Cannes PR Lions, SABRE Awards, and Public Relations Society of America Anvils.
