Infographic: What Business Words Will Take off in 2015?

The public relations industry is fraught with buzzwords—words that sound impressive but actually convey very little meaning. Leverage, verticalize, amplify, phygital, synergy, evangelist, the list goes on. It's easy to be cynical about these attempts by the communications industry to make itself sound smarter. It's more difficult to predict which new words will actually come to be meaningful as the industry continues to evolve.

With the New Year approaching, The Writer, a language consultancy, collected data on emerging vocabulary from CEOs' speeches, websites, corporate content and business publications. After having its app audience vote on the best new words, the consultancy came up with a list of words that are expected to take off next year.
