Winner: Rogers & Cowan and Cause Swarm - Flash Flood For Good at Clinton Global Initiative 2013 Annual Meeting
Cause Swarm/Flash Flood For Good and project partners Procter & Gamble’s Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program (CSDW) (a non-profit entity) and World Vision’s shared goal was to put the need for safe drinking water in the spotlight on a mass basis using the Cause Swarm social methodology incorporating Facebook and Twitter to redefine the meaning of mass activation, support and relief on a global scale.
Cause Swarm and project partners Procter & Gamble’s CSDW and World Vision teamed up to create a Flash Flood For Good, a 72 hour safe water awareness campaign. Key objectives included: leveraging celebrities and influencers, and their social media accounts to blitz consumers with messages about the importance of safe drinking water for children in developing countries.
Media relations and social media communications also encouraged the public to join the movement by enrolling early at www.flashfloodforgood.org. By officially enrolling in Cause Swarm’s Flash Flood For Good campaign, consumers reached out to their respective friends and temporarily allowed the campaign to use their social media channel feeds to widen awareness about the safe drinking water crisis situation.
